The long awaited launch for Windows 10 OS is imminent, but currently Microsoft has released a Windows 10 10158 variant of the latter OS. This is exclusively for the Windows Insiders Programs and it is packed with enhancements and brand new features.
The Windows 10 10158 update was made known to all members of the Windows Insiders Program, in a blog post. Windows 7 and 8 users are expecting to see major improvements regarding the features and the stability.
The most important enhancement is Microsoft Edge in Windows 10 10158, which will soon be part of the Windows ecosystem. In Windows 10 10159 Microsoft unveiled a few pitfalls regarding the performance levels and has also incorporated a new dark theme in order to couple with the hues of the rest of the applications, which were designed for Windows 10.
In order to make the switch a lot smoother to Microsoft Edge, Windows 10 10159 bring an importer to the scene when it comes down to favorites. Users can move the taps around in the Microsoft Edge windows and passcodes can also be backed up or synced.
With Microsoft Edge users also get to enjoy a Reading Mode. This is perfect for article reading and you can also use the note taking mode. This is the default browser for Windows 10 and Microsoft can only hope that Internet Explorer will be put in function only with the sites that encounter compatibility issues.
As for Cortana, it also gets a new look and a brand new feature in Windows 10 10158.
Windows 10’s ultimate version, Cortana will send your emails that are dictated. This is something new for Windows 10. In order for this to function properly, an internet connection is a must. Unfortunately, this feature can only be used in the US.
Windows 10 also has the new Tablet Mode incorporated. This offers all users a fullsceen Start Screen, you also get a button on the back of the Taskbar and fullscreen applications. The best thing is that is also conceals all of those annoying items that one doesn’t need to see al the time.
According to Microsoft, Windows 10 10158 is fixing Windows Programs as well as Windows Store apps. You can now use a swiping motion (left side of the Start Screen) which will open a full list with every single app that you have set up. The Snipping Tool contains a timer whereas the Photos app includes animated images (aka GIFs).
Windows 10 10158 is bringing it all to the table. Expect the Windows 10 update to reach desktop, table and notebooks on the 29th of July. This is a free upgrade to everyone who uses a computer and has Windows 7 or 8 running on it. Those on windows Vista can also update, but they might be required to pay for this. This free update offered by Microsoft will only be available for 1 year after the big launch.
